or maybe not?
Easter is coming at the end of March ......I know it's a few weeks off yet but this was wandering round my head so it had to come out!
I like the idea of what are now Christian occasions being rooted in pagan traditions......the EOSTRE myth is quite controversial.....some say it's true, others don't believe it.......I don't really care I just like the idea!
According to myth, Eostre's hare was a large, handsome bird
which she one day magically changed into a hare. Because the hare was
still a bird at heart, it continued to build a straw nest in which to
lay its eggs.

So, onto my pages.......
I wanted to combine all the Easter traditions/ideas/myths so I have hares, an egg and the bird that was changed into the hare......I also have flowers and pastel colours.....shock horror, I don't do pastels:) but I do like the way it turned out!

that IS so interesting Sue and you do pastel very well (no surprise!) ...
Love the texture of your bird too...
these pages certainly speak of spring!
Love your new doll collection and what you created with some photos of them too ... fun surprise from the heat gun
AND
you are so right about how things are marketed with inflated prices ... just because they can!

Love love the bird Sue, he looks quite textural. Love your use of pastel colours, perfect for your Easter piece. Great to see those hares again . Tracy x
That is so cool........the pages and the myth. I love it!
I'm glad some one else sees the commercialism & pagan background of holidays. Very interesting myth. I love what you did on your pages. The pastels are gorgeous! No surprise, all your work is great.
Now these are more my kind of hares :)
