Owls and bats
Yesterday I escaped my kitchen makeover once again and went to WIGHTWICK MANOR (near Wolverhampton) with a couple of friends.....the main reason for going was a WILLIAM MORRIS exhibition.............I have to say the exhibition was a little disappointing.......a good job that most of the rooms had original William Morris wallcoverings and fabrics on the sofas etc...............the added bonus was that there were loads of Pre-Raphaelite paintings, drawings, ceramics, tiles everywhere.....BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately no photos allowed inside:(

Glad you managed some time out Sue, fabulous pictures, so detailed. Tracy x
Some amazing photos. I have been to Wightwick Manor, only the outside though. We went there for a photo shoot for a friend's wedding. It made such a lovely background.
I wonder what it must be like to grow up in a place such as this...such opulance! Homes back then were works of art unto themselves.
Don't you hate it when it says no photography? Love the creatures you snapped at the front door. Another spot filled with ancient beauty in England... Thanks for sharing!
Fab stone carvings, sorry the exhibition was dissapointing !!
