What's that on your beard?

 These supermarket Santas became these!

As soon as I saw them with that big open beard space I knew they were perfect for adding a little something.

I A Good Girl

This is my entry for the  STAMPOTIQUE DESIGNERS CHALLENGE this week where they want to see a non-traditional Christmas, that is to use non Christmas stamps for a Christmas piece

I have used Marci who is desperately hoping that Santa will come to her house.....she is standing in the snow with her party hat on ready and waiting and has written her very simple, to the point, letter!

 Letter to Santa!

Angelic?

Bought these metal angels from Sainsburys recently

I took off the arms, the heads and the hangers.......added doll heads and a big spoon to the back of each as halos

and this is how they ended up!

I sort of promised a friend that I wouldn't make these "too weird" but I'm sorry Burnice I just couldn't not do it......I just don't know how to do sweet/cute/twee!

Tree decorations

A little while ago my husband said "why don't you use some doll heads to make some decorations for the tree?" Honestly, he did, he likes my creepy doll head creations!!
I said "ok, that sounds fun" and here are the results!

This one is my favourite:) I just love this black and white, creepy eyes look!

I used one of my favourite things.......folded book pages.... for the base of this head

And of course you need glitter for Christmas decorations.......didn't use much but you can just about see it here above the eye.

Made this one too......you can see the glitter on this one.

A close up of what my husband calls her Borg implant.......it was inspired by MICHELE LYNCH.......she puts things in her dolls eyes a lot and I like the idea so I borrowed it:)

Have you been good

or BAD?
If you've been bad then you better watch out as tonight is  KRAMPUSNACHTand the Krampus might come and get you!
In this country we tell children they better be good or Father Christmas won't bring them any presents.......in some European countries they go one step further and tell them that not only will they get no presents but that the Krampus will come and get them......he is St Nicks demonic side-kick!

December 6th is the Feast of St Nicholas and on the evening of December 5th Krampus is said to roam the streets looking for bad children.........talk about scaring your kids into good behaviour!!

I love traditions based in folklore.......and of course if it's slightly on the dark side then all the better.....so this is right up my street!

So, don't have nightmares this KRAMPUSNACHT!!

If you find this fascinating then you might find this book interesting:)

tissue paper end papers.....they also cover up my messing workings:).....

a bit of black ink and gold paint on the page edges.
