A plague on both your houses!

 My recent visit to the plague museum in Eyam in Derbyshire inspired this page in my map journal.
The figure above is a model of a PLAGUE DOCTOR....I took the pic in the museum. The beak like mask was filled with aromatic herbs thought at the time to prevent plague.

 This rhyme is one that many of us learn as children.........did you know that lots of people think it relates to the plague?? This is controversial but I like the idea:)

Fabby pages Sue. I watched a TV programme the other week and Tony Robinson was trying out one of these outfits.. how scary it must have been to see one walking around a village..
