Do you do Voodoo?

A while ago after I made these brushes it was decided on the deMeng workshop junkies FaceBook page that we would make Voodoo dolls based around a paintbrush!
I have been working on mine on and off since then and finally got it finished today. I will admit to getting bored with things if they hang around for too long so it was time this was done with so I can move onto the next thing.

It started life as a dolls body minus arms and legs and a face moulded onto it and a paintbrush that I dipped into gesso and let dry

Here is my finished piece hanging on the edge of my fridge......it was really hard to get a good pic of the whole thing!

I don't know an awful lot about Voodoo apart from it's practiced mainly in Haiti and the old thing about a doll that you stick pins into so my doll is only vaguely Voodoo-ish!

Rusty screws represent the pins used to stick into the dolls

Rusty wire and pearls threaded through a washer over the arm holes to create the hanger
