THE TIME HAS COME........

TO MAKE MY BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

I AM MOVING TO KAZAKHSTAN!!

Well, not just me, my husband as well.........he is the reason we are moving, he has a new job there. It has taken quite a while for all the details to be ironed out which is why I haven't said anything about it out here in blogland but now all the arrangements are finally coming together the time has come to share the news!
I know most of you are going to react with WHERE???? So, Kazakhstan is the 9th biggest country in the world, a former Soviet state, original home of the tulip and the apple, apparently, and an exciting place.....well for me it is!
We are going to be living in Almaty, the former capital, which is right over in the east of the country very close to the Chinese border. The picture above is of the Orthodox Russian cathedral in Almaty.
Stuart should be going in about 4 weeks time and I will follow a few weeks after that, the end of April should see us both there and settling into a new life.
This blog will be carrying on and I will no doubt be posting pics of our new surroundings!!

My goodness, Sue, you never do things by halves do you! A leap into the unknown - good for you. I look forward to some amazing photographs and blog posts telling us all about it.

I'm wondering... are you going to take the entire studio? I can the two weeks after your DH has left and before you travel being an absolute storm of packing. Good luck and bon voyage.

Gobsmacked! My first thought is "how will you move all your crafting stuff" I need to know incase I ever move. It is the biggest reason not to move! Will you have your own room for creating in? Please keep us informed about these things. Good luck to you! Very exciting but the UK will miss you and your classes!
