Not wanting to waste anything.........

I was working on something else today and ended up with a very painty sponge and so rather than waste it I used it to colour this page, then to stencil through a circle stencil and some sequin waste.

Then I stamped HEART SHIRT onto an old book page, cut him out and glued him in place. I used a couple scraps of the book page elsewhere on the page and then wrote on the edges of the book page, glued them in place, added some black painty lines and circles and there it is!

I also used the rest of the book page.....glued it to another page as a starting point for another time.......you can also see how small this journal is :)

Waste not want not... I have a book beside me when I have paint or inks around and use any excess to colour the pages.. these get used later..
Fab page!

Heart Shirt's pretty handsome - I want him :)

Waste not want not... I'm finding it harder and harder to throw anything away - even a cup of coffee!!!

I'm very impressed with this piece that started with you wanting to make good use of a bit of left over paint - gorgeous work!

Love this, and love especially another way to use up paint or inks! Heart Shirt is a charmer whatever he is stamped onto!

What a great use of some left over paint and Heart Shirt looks great stamped on text paper. Great idea for recycling. Tracy x x

Great use of leftover paint! Just like Effie, I have a book always handy to use up any paint leftover, or slip a stencil with ink into. I call it "my next journal" and I'll have all those found backgrounds started when I'm ready to journal in it further.
