More..........

playing just for the heck of it!!
Well that, and using things I have bought and never used.........this stencil and dies both come into that category!
I have a bit of a confession......I don't really like spray inks, especially through stencils! I think I must be a bit anal but I like to be more in control of where stuff goes and sprays are just a bit random. I do use them......like on this page.....as a general spray over a background and then work on over that.

I read on MICHELLE WARDS blog that we should remember that we don't always have to get stencils wet to use them! So, I first drew through mine and later used ink on a sponge.

 I LOVE this image:)

Masking tape, strips of book page, painty circles and paper clips and a black gem.

  2. Excellent pages, Sue. I do use sprays through mine but I also like to use inks - not sure I have the patience to draw the outlines, although it would depend on how much time I had and how important something was to me. These look great - must try it with some of those die cuts someone sent me that I'll never use x

  6. ooh, fab pages Sue. personally I love the randomness of sprays but I would also enjoy outlining the shapes as you have to "tidy" it all up lol. You're right, that is a great image.

  9. That sprayed background is marvelous. Like all the overlapping circles and cogs. Very dynamic. You seemed to be more succesful then I am in this technique. I have a hard time ghosting and keeping the stencils in place... Well done you!

  11. Well you may not like using them, but you certainly do it well when you do. This background is spectacular. And I have to say even though you worked with the spray it still looks like you were very much in control. Is this a Tim Holtz stencil, it looks like him, but I don't think I've ever seen this one. Amazing job, thanks for sharing and as always...inspiring.
