The word on TAKE A WORD challenge today is BLACKBIRD. Here is my version............
he started out as a blackbird (about six inches tall).............
till I set about him with a white pen and zentangled him!!
This was my inspiration.......a journal page I saw at CHA.....I used the pattern from this birds breast on my birds wing.
It's been a while since I showed anything from my garden......let's face it, not much going on out there at this time of year but look what has appeared all through the gravel area in my front garden! Pretty little pink Cyclamen.
There used to be a tree planted in the middle of the gravel and I planted cyclamen around the base but they never did very well...........it seems the bulbs got spread around when the tree was removed and they obviously are a lot happier!!!
omg..signs of spring! that makes me hopeful! haha i cannot wait til winter passes by and spring arrives!
ReplyDeleteLovely blackbird... so nice to see a little colour in the garden.
ReplyDeleteSuper zentangled bird!
ReplyDeleteI love your zentangled birds! Don't you find zentangling a peaceful pasttime? Also, thank you for the signs of Spring. It's been a LONG winter in my world, and it's not over yet!

ReplyDeleteOh wow, I love your zentangled blackbird. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteMust do more zentangle, I enjoyed the bit we did waiting for the plane even though that other passenger looked a bit perplexed LOL
ReplyDeleteSo very gorgeous!! I loved seeing the progression!!
ReplyDeleteSue...know you dont do cute but can I say your blackbird is just so sweet and adorable. I LOVE him and thats from someone who has had her fill of ravens, crows, blackbirds :)
ReplyDeleteGreat zentangle! You really made that blackbird special, certainly a stand out!
ReplyDeleteSue, you have "dressed" your blackbird really beautifully! Lovely piece! - I adore your little pink flowers! On my yard there's one yard of snow...
ReplyDeleteLove this birdie - and it reminds me that I haven't done any doodling of this kind for ages! I feel a zentangle coming on ....
ReplyDeleteIt is unusual for me to see cyclamen growing outdoors. Here in Oz we grow them in pots, indoors, because outside they would be fried by the heat of the sun. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love your zentangled blackbird, Sue. He is fantastic.
