that there are bus tickets under these houses!!!
A couple of weeks ago my car was in the garage so I caught a bus home (and then back again), it's not something I do very often and I kept the tickets thinking I could use them on a journal page.
So, today was the day to use them.....add a bit of gesso, ok the writing is not very obvious now but they need some colour so add a wash of colour, writing even less obvious so write over the words, don't like that, looks naff, so more gesso, more paint, bit of rubbing.......well you get the idea.....result....can't see any of the text at all any more!!!!
So, you will just have to take my word for it that they are under there somewhere!!!!
That same day I found these feathers when I was walking from the bus stop to home......I think they are Magpie feathers as they had a broad white stripe across them.....I enhanced it with gesso.
I kinda wish I had used the feathers to go with this rhyme, oh well, another day another page
One for sorrow,
Two for joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret never to be told.

OK, this is where this turns into a story of 2 pages!! This next page is on the page opposite to the one with the houses......I sort of intended them to go together but have since decided that although they are similar and follow the same theme they actually work best as seperate pages!!!!
Here they are together so you can see what I mean.

an interesting combination the houses and the feathers Sue but they definitely work for me. I've just acquired that lovely cornflower stencil - everything in site is getting covered at the moment lol
Brilliant... and I think the pages zing off each other very nicely. I love your stencilled flowers (have also just ordered that one) - the effect on the dimensional one - actual dimension or just amazing paintwork, I can't be sure - is simply wonderful!
