A paper Christmas

What a lovely weekend it's been!
On Thursday evening my good friend Wendy (of THE STAMP ATTIC ) fame came to stay. On Friday we headed into Chester for a day of shopping..............

........some of the Christmas lights were very pretty....................

On Saturday we went Christmas decoration shopping interspersed with cake and coffee and then dinner in the pub.........this light strewn reindeer was outside the garden centre we visited...............then home for Strictly and popcorn in PJ's.........nice end to a lovely day!

So, today we decided to stay in and have a play day........a good plan as the weather turned horrible......we saw these fab folded trees made from magazines on GEZ'S BLOG.......there is a link to a tutorial on Gez's blog...........and just had to have a go.......these aren't finished yet.....will show them again when they are.

Next we moved onto folded snowflakes..........I had seen these earlier in the week HERE
great fun once we got the hang of them.......we used double sided scrapbook paper........

 ..........the finished snowflakes................

.....and finally we made folded baubles! The tutorial for these can be found HERE

Punch circles from mag pages...............

.......fold and glue as per instructions...............

 ........to get your bauble!

The results of the day of playing!!

I love that you used two-sided paper for your snowflakes! And the baubles are so fun -- I've not seen that technique before!
