Angels and rood screens

I'm in Suffolk for a few days.
 Today we went church visiting........Suffolk has some beautiful churches, I thought I'd share a couple wih you.

 




 The first is St Marys in Huntingfield............it has the most beautiful painted ceiling and angels.


 




The second is St Andrew's in Bramfield which has an original rood screen that although the paint is peeling away and is very faded is still extremely beautiful.
This painting of Mary Magdalene is just stunning.

    You're right Sue, Suffolk has some great churches ..... I used to live in Lowestoft and often went hunting for church architecture ! How inspiring !
