Sorry about the corny title, couldn't resist!! This is worked in a journal that I haven't used in a while....it's quite small, each page is only about 5 1/2 inches square. It has a wire binding which I have decided I don't much like.....it gets in the way!
The left hand page........the All Hallows Eve circle and trees with owls background stamp are by IMPRESSION OBSESSION, the text circle is CATSLIFE PRESS and the tags are INVOKE ARTS
The owl is a chipboard piece that I covered with TERRA texture paint, stamped into it and then painted.....he came out kind of crusty looking but I like it!!
When I stamped this owl/tree background it missed a section in the middle..........so I stamped the text circle in the space.....nothing that can't be fixed!!
I really liked the pumpkins hanging from a string in my last post so I thought I'd use the same idea again here with these little tags.
All stamps used here are available from THE STAMP ATTIC
Fabulous stuff..... it's given me the shove to get back into arty grunge!
ReplyDeleteas always Sue truly original...... Ciao xx
ReplyDeleteLoving these journal pages Sue, the owls on the branches work really well in the background and the large Owl looks fab with all that texture. Great colour scheme and another great unique page. Tracy x x

ReplyDeleteI don't like the spiral bound journals, either. Diana Trout, mentioned that she didn't like the 'interuption' it caused. Wish I'd seen that video before buying my all my journals!
Oh I love these pages. S x
ReplyDeleteoooh, i love love love your spread!! great details :)
ReplyDeleteLove the "fix"! Often times things come out even better after the mishap, like the pumpkin head background! Fun! Also love the string of owl tags, reminids me of lights strung through the garden!
